Following up on the iStock system…I have to say I suffered a bit of sticker shock when I looked at the new structure once it got up. This is not for casual image buying anymore. 30 credits used to cost me half as much as what they do now, so for everyday blog posts, I’m going to have to use other sources for images and reserve anything I get from iStock to be strictly for projects where I need royalty free, quality images.

We did too, and then I found a plugin by my favorite Photoshop plugin developers, Alien Skin, that can enlarge any photo to 300dpi without losing resolution. So I’ve been using that and it’s worked pretty well. I was able to get the smallest size image and blow them up as needed.

I hadn’t been using iStock because their images had gotten sooooo expensive. I’m loving this change! Thanks for sharing.

I love that news about iStock! I have used them before and found the credit system for file sizes a little rich for what I was getting. That new system seems more fare and I’m more likely to use it. Now, to log in and see how many credits I have in my account!! Thanks for this one
