Jenny, that was one of the hardest lessons for me to learn too. I still catch myself doing it from time to time, but now the little “Stop.” voice is much louder and speaks up way sooner.

Lololol, I have done the banging my head on the keyboard a few times – with the why, or the @#$@%#%@# why isn’t it working. Thank you for the reminder. If it isn’t my forte, hand it off and get it done by someone who can and I can turn my energy to what I am good at. Great post.

You’re welcome Kristy and we’re glad you got something useful out of the suggestions. I think once you lighten up that portion of the background and tone down or remove some of it, that font will stand a better chance of showing up.

I understand falling in love with certain elements, I’ve been guilty of that myself on occasion. That’s when I go back to the drawing board, totally forget about what I just created and start a completely new version. Try creating a few more samples for yourself with elements you may never have chosen to begin with. You’d be surprised what happens. And if you still don’t like any of them? You’ll still have your original version.

Thank you for the Crit. There are a few things I am looking into changing, and a few I’m not sure I will. The three things I did change were to remove the Time Machine sketches, squish the title’s lines a little closer together and move the name up. I also added a sort of shadow behind the name. It could just be a fault, I’m a little too in love with the font to actually change it right now.

But, I am happy to have the help. The book is in the works and I can’t wait to get it out there.
