Sirius Sunday: Touching Base

Yup, it’s been quiet all around. On the surface, anyway. I just thought you all might like to know that our beloved Rose has not yet become Grizzly Chow up there in the wilds of Alaska. Today I received a postcard from her with some lovely thoughts and a “Hello” to all of you down here in the lower 48.
Our other Word Traveler, Allison, is also doing well on her journey through Vietnam. Despite the heat, she sounds like she’s having a great time of it.
The rest of us? Well, us homebodies (for the time being anyway) are making good use of our time. Wendi and I have kept the homefires burning and the creativity going full speed.
The novel is in the editing/proofing stage and racing towards completion and book two has a six chapter start. What can I say? We love to tell a good story. No sooner is one completed when the next one is scratching at the door waiting for us to let it out.
The Week In Posts
Today on Davina’s Shades of Crimson, Wendi is the featured guest post with a touching story about her Muse. Go check it out, it’s good stuff – and be sure to bring a Kleenex or two.
And while these two posts weren’t done this week, they could still use some love; an interview I did for Mark Dykeman on Thought Wrestling and another Muse post on Shades of Crimson which kicked off Davina’s series for this month.
What’s Up Next Week?
Or the week after? In June we’ll be running a week long series about self-publishing and novel writing. Oh yes, we’ve learned a LOT from this experience and have plenty to share on the subject. We also have some great guest posts lined up. Maybe even a contest. With a prize.
Or so the rumors say.
In the meantime, have a great Memorial Day weekend and be sure to thank the guys and gals who helped secure the freedom for all of us to write these magnificent things.
